My Girls Welcome to my Girls page. We have had two Gordon Setters
Rose was bought for me by my children with the intent that I may leave them alone, to go their own ways if I had somewhere else to centre my attention. What a present she was, an absolute joy ,my best friend and a "lady". Joe (my husband) called her "Fleabag" as she had a very bad reaction to fleas if ever she came in contact with them. Thankfully it was only the once as she was quite sick. I did show her and she earned her title but she wasn't impressed going in the car each weekend she would rather have been at home. She talked quite a lot and very loudly at times. She was part of our lives for nearly 12 years and I was devastated when she passed on peacefully on Friday 13th, June 2003.
Carnoustie What A Vision (AI) "Sophie" Carol and Steve Bennett from Carnoustie Gordons bred "Sophie" from their girl Carnoustie Gypsy Moth using semen from the English Sh. Champion Shannas Daimler "Bentley". I acquired her about 12 months after "Rose " passed on and what a different girl she is. She also talks a lot and likes to make herself heard. Loves to swim in the lake which is nearby and chase the ducks. If she ever catches one it will be a complete surprise to her and myself. She shares our yard with 3 chooks and steals the eggs if we don't get to them before she does, she always seems to have a lovely shiny coat, funny about that. Joe calls her "Ratbag" as she is certainly "no lady". She is my mate, pal and buddy.
